Troop-Specific General Guidance
Here are some specific Troop 1028 guidelines including the process for earning Merit Badges, how to invite a Merit Badge Counselor (MBC), instructions for how to fill out those annoying blue cards, and some example Merit Badges we have done in the past.
Finding a Merit Badge Counselor to work with has now moved entirely to Scoutbook. See the "Inviting a MBC" file below for an example of how to find Merit Badge Counselor to work with. Remember, if you want to pick someone outside of Troop 1028 or 1029, you must have Scoutmaster permission first. Note that the "Invite a MBC" feature typically only works for your Troop SM, AC, and CC so if you don't see the options in Scoutbook have them help you.
